The composition of "My Friend, The Moon" is very simple, with no unnecessary details and frills. The relationship between the child and the moon is endearing. No matter what, there is always hope and friendship between the two. The oil paint leave a strong brushstroke texture which strengthens the protagonist’s cartoon-like rhythm and easily makes the book’s illustrations flow smoothly.
