《幼三国》在《三国演义》原著基础之上进行改编，以符合儿童阅读和审美习惯进行了二次创作，历时四年完成。《幼三国》分为上、下两部，文字24余万，插画计3200幅。《幼三国》尊重《三国演义》原著，秉承东方审美，水墨丹青手绘。让孩子从小爱上三国，懂得刘备的仁、关羽的义、张飞的勇、诸葛亮的智。
《幼三国》运用简洁的语言文字和绘画的表现形式，描写了从东汉末年到西晋初年之间近百年的历史风云，以描写战争故事为主。讲述了东汉末年群雄割据混战和魏、蜀、吴三国之间的政治和军事斗争，最终司马炎一统三国，建立晋朝的故事。反映了三国时代各类社会斗争与矛盾的转化，并概括了这一时代的历史巨变，塑造了一群叱咤风云的三国英雄人物。《幼三国·上部》第一回至第八十回，涵盖英雄出世、壮志难酬、官渡之战、火烧赤壁等重要历史事件。让小读者在历史故事的趣味中，慢慢体会我国古典名著、历史文化和古汉语的韵味。
The Young Three Kingdoms was adapted on the basis of the novel [The Romance Of The Three Kingdoms] and was created in accordance with children's reading and aesthetic habits. The Young Three Kingdoms adheres to the Eastern aesthetic, ink and blue handed-painted.
